FilmWalah is owned by Aarvicor Mediaworks

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all FilmWalah programs, including online classes, workshops, retreats, and community memberships.


1. General Policy

All registrations, bookings, and payments made to FilmWalah are considered confirmed once the transaction is completed. By enrolling in any FilmWalah program, you agree to the terms outlined below.


2. Online Classes & Workshops

2.1 Refunds Before Class Start

  • Refunds requested 7 days before the start of the class may be eligible for a refund after deducting processing charges (payment gateway fees, admin charges).

  • Refund requests made within 6 days of class start are not eligible.

2.2 Refunds After Class Starts

  • No refunds will be issued once the class or workshop has started.

  • This includes dropouts, missed sessions, or change of personal schedule.

2.3 Class Rescheduling

If FilmWalah reschedules a class:

  • Participants will be offered a revised date or the option to transfer to another batch at no extra cost.


3. Retreats (Goa Retreats, Writing Retreats, Creative Retreats)

3.1 Booking Confirmation

Your seat is confirmed only after full or partial payment as specified.

3.2 Cancellation by Participant

  • Cancellations made 30+ days before retreat start date:
    Eligible for a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made 15–29 days before retreat:
    No refund, but participant may request seat transfer to next retreat (subject to availability).

  • Cancellations within 14 days of retreat start:
    Non-refundable and non-transferable.

3.3 No-Show Policy

  • If a participant does not arrive for the retreat, the booking is considered a no-show.
    No refunds or credits will be issued.

3.4 Travel & Accommodation

  • FilmWalah is not responsible for participant travel arrangements, cancellations, or losses.

  • Individual travel or health insurance (if needed) must be arranged by participants.


4. Community Memberships

  • Community access fees (monthly or annual) are non-refundable.

  • Once membership begins, refunds cannot be issued for partial usage.


5. Program Transfers

  • Participants may request a transfer to another batch or program only before the original program begins.

  • Transfer approvals are subject to availability and management discretion.


6. Cancellation by FilmWalah

If FilmWalah cancels any class, workshop, or retreat:

  • Participants will receive a full refund,
    or

  • The option to transfer to another batch or retreat without extra charges.


7. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 working days through the original mode of payment (unless otherwise required by bank/payment gateway rules).
